Swine Digestive System Infectious Diseases Division

The overall mission of our division is to fully characterize the swine diseases of the gastrointes¬tinal tract (GI) caused by Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV), Transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV), Porcine rotavirus (PoRV), Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), Porcine Parvovirus (PPV) and so on, and to develop effective measures and products to control these diseases. The research interests focus on: 1). etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, the protective immune responses of the swine infectious GI pathogens; 2). the design and development of diagnostic technology, vaccines, antiviral antibodies and cytokines to control the diseases.
